About Us

Green iguanas are not indigenous to Florida. Abandoned iguana's are regularly euthanized, and they can not survive our occassionally chilly winters.

Our mission is public awareness, education and rescue of these beautiful creatures. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium will be one of the few facilities who will be called during this oil crisis to help in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of the marine life that is threatened.

We do not recommend that the general public approach iguanas in the wild. They can be aggressive and have very sharp teeth.
